Some Blackwell Synergy Journal Content and Links Still Missing

The merger of the Blackwell Synergy journal content into the Wiley journal content continues.  At this time, some content is still missing.  Most of the links have been redirected to their nearest equivalent on Wiley InterScience. However, they are still working on the OpenURL links to ensure they resolve direct to the appropriate journal rather than the main homepage. They will have this in place within a few days.

Health Insurance Chartbook Online

The Kaiser Family Foundation’s Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured (KCMU) has been producing annual chartbooks on the uninsured population and health coverage for nearly a decade, examining how many Americans lack coverage, who the uninsured are and how health insurance coverage is changing. This year, the Health Insurance Coverage in America chartbook has been reformatted as a web-based information resource including charts and tables to provide a more comprehensive profile of the uninsured population and health insurance coverage more generally. Check it out on the Kaiser Family Foundation website:  http://facts.kff.org/chartbook.aspx?cb=50

Free Online Tool Helps Users Record and Share Research

A free clickstream recording Web service for researchers has launched, developed by two college graduates who had become frustrated by the inefficiency and redundancy of gathering research. iBreadCrumbs <http://www.ibreadcrumbs.com/> created by California State University, Fullerton <http://www.fullerton.edu/> graduates Reuben Fine and Rey Marques, is an online tool that allows teachers, researchers, and students to save and share their research with others.

Users download the free iBreadCrumbs toolbar, which runs only on FireFox <http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/>, search the Internet, and click on the Web pages visited to share with others. Users can also add notes and references to pages visited and save the Web history for others to see the sites and review the content they viewed. Those viewing the breadcrumbs can use any browser.
More information about iBreadCrumbs may be found at http://www.campustechnology.com/articles/63507
